Unfortunately, our apartments rarely boast large areas. And for some unknown reason, kitchens are the cramped ones. Although in this room, as a rule, they not only cook, but also eat. That is, in fact, this is both a kitchen and a dining room. And a very small area is allocated for all this. The owners of nine squares are considered almost lucky: there are much smaller rooms. But repairing a kitchen of 9 sq m is also a difficult task: you have to select and design two zones: a working zone for cooking, and a dining room.

At first, the renovation of a 9 sq m kitchen is not much different from similar premises of other dimensions. The general work plan looks like this:

There are two options - either put the stove near the ventilation shaft, or somehow change the location of the ventilation. The boxes and sleeves that are used for this are not the most attractive elements (unless you plan loft style). Therefore, you need to make sure that they are covered with furniture.
• Replacement and transfer of plumbing - pipes, etc.
• Replacement of windows.
• Ceiling decoration. If you don't want to putty, you can do it simply: make a stretch ceiling. But then this stage is postponed - they stretch the film after finishing the walls.

Nothing helps in developing your own design like the interiors you see. There are many interesting ideas that have already been implemented, and in the same areas.

Orange and beige kitchen

The renovation was done in the kitchen of a standard house: the P-43 series, the kitchen is slightly less than 9 squares. It was decided to make a working area along the same wall, just moved the stove and sink.

The budget is "not very", so they tried to find a decent quality item at a low price. We managed to save on furniture: we just ordered cabinets, without assembly, fittings, countertops, sinks, taps and most of the filling. All this can be bought separately, at prices much lower than those offered by furniture companies. The installation of all this "economy" is not too difficult, in the presence of straight arms it turns out no worse.

The ceiling was normally leveled earlier, it was simply painted with fresh water emulsion. The choice of building materials began with tiles for the kitchen backsplash (found in OBI). The doors of the kitchen unit below will be orange, so bright colors were excluded right away. We stopped at white and orange, on white - a few decorative tiles. Beige tones were successfully present in them, which almost exactly coincided with the color of the doors of the wall cabinets.

On the walls in the same place, in OBI, they chose light beige wallpaper: vinyl on non-woven linen. In the next section, we found a chandelier that seemed attractive to us. Spotlights were also bought there.

On the one hand, the balcony in the kitchen is great: it can be adapted to suit your needs. Previously, they made a wardrobe in which some supplies were kept. With this option, the balcony is inconvenient: the kitchen turns out to be a walk-through, which takes up a lot of space.In this case, the kitchen is mainly of a linear type, it stands along the longest wall. On the contrary, approximately in the middle, a table is placed, most often of a rectangular shape. Unfold it with its long side along the wall. In some layouts, this is the only possible option.

Today there is a cardinal solution: the balcony is insulated, the doors and window block are removed, transferring the dining area to the former balcony. The costs of such a re-equipment are decent: you need to insulate everything: the floor, ceiling, walls. Then - to put good double-glazed windows. It is also necessary to organize the heating in some way: transferring the batteries is a long undertaking with dubious results (ordering a calculation and a project, agreeing on it ...). It's easier to make an electric underfloor heating. The area is small, with normal insulation, the bills will be small.

When renovating, it is not even necessary to remove the part of the wall that was under the window. This ledge can be turned into bar counter.

If this element does not fit into your ideas, you can leave this piece as a counter or cabinet: horizontal surfaces in the kitchen are never superfluous.

If you do not like this option, remove this "stub". Please note: only him. The walls on the right and left are load-bearing, they cannot be categorically touched. Not a centimeter. But even just a neatly designed square opening looks good.

If you beat the passage, make a suspended ceiling, lighting - you get a design element that gives the kitchen interior a special charm.

What can be done on the balcony / loggia combined with the kitchen? Anything. You can make a not very wide counter in the full width of the window, arrange there high, but comfortable chairs.

You can do the opposite - put a dining table on the loggia or on the balcony. But for this you will need to remove the same "stub" of the wall, which was under the window. Not a bad solution, by the way.

Usually, there are problems with its placement: it is too large a thing that is difficult to organically fit somewhere.And often the repair of a small kitchen area (9 square meters is not much) is stalled when looking for an option to install it.

With this option, it is worth making the tabletop quite wide so that you can cook and eat, if necessary, and arrange a workplace there - put a laptop and check mail while drinking coffee.
